The BRCu Skill Eval application streamlines the BRCu, BRC2u-LW, and 3WBRC Skill Evaluation conducted at the conclusion of the MSF Basic RiderCourse by an active MSF-certified RiderCoach. Please note that access to this application is exclusive to certified and active Motorcycle Safety Foundation RiderCoaches. Without a valid RETSORG account, installing this app would prove futile.

Instead of relying on traditional paper score sheets with a clipboard, pencil, and stopwatch, this app enables certified RiderCoaches to electronically score the evaluation process. Assessment is conducted by tapping controls on either an iPhone or iPad screen, with designated scoring screens guiding the evaluator throughout the process. An on-screen stopwatch is available for evaluations 3, 4, and 5; however, manual time input is an option. Evaluation results are updated in real-time on individual student pages, facilitating instant feedback for RiderCoaches. Upon completion, detailed scores can be reviewed with students using the on-screen display and a standard MSF score sheet (individual, group, or both) can be generated as a shareable PDF file via standard iOS features.

Access to the app's functionalities requires a subscription. Upon the initial launch, subscription options are presented for selection based on individual needs. An active internet connection is essential for initiating and completing the subscription purchase process. Should your coaching activities be sporadic (e.g. two classes annually), the non-renewing "Good for a day" subscription allows 24-hour access post-purchase without automatic renewal. Other subscription choices include monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, and annually options, all of which offer one month of free usage to aid in assessing suitability. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each period using the linked payment method in the App Store account. The flexibility to adjust or cancel subscriptions up to 24 hours before renewal is available via the device's subscription management settings in the Setting app.

For an optimal user experience, it is advised to acquaint oneself with the app's functionality prior to live evaluations instead of learning on-the-go. Basic instructions outlining app behavior and navigation can be found on the Preferences screen within the app.

Advantages of utilizing the app over conventional methods such as paper/clipboard/stopwatch include:
